Chapter One Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) in Nigeria: An Examination of Successful Interventions, Challenges and Future Opportunities ** Okwor, Uchechi Mercy1, Ajuonuma, Edima Fidelis2, and Oparaojiaku, Joy Obiageri3

Conclusion
Agriculture in Nigeria is particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change such as erratic
rainfall patterns, rising temperatures, and extreme weather events. Notwithstanding, climate-
smart agriculture is gaining traction in Nigeria; actively implementing adaptation and mitigation
strategies as well as coordinating climate-smart interventions. Amidst challenges, several
climate-smart interventions have recorded successes with hopes that many more ongoing
interventions will make Nigerian agriculture more resilient and sustainable.
